Aircraft Grades
The aircraft grades of Thornel® carbon fibers are produced and tested under the rigorous standards required for these demanding applications. The certifications that accompany the shipments of these fibers provides detailed data on the performance and consistency of these fibers. This information enables designers and fabricators of aircraft structure to build composite parts with confidence. Thornel® carbon fibers for aircraft and aerospace applications are available in several performance grades and tow sizes.

Commercial Grades
Commercial grades of Thornel® PAN-based carbon fibers are produced under an ISO 9002-registered quality system, meeting the same exacting standards as our aerospace-certified grades. These grades differ only in the level of quality assurance testing. For nearly two decades, Thornel® PAN carbon fibers have offered consistent performance for a diverse array of end uses that incorporate a variety of fabrication methods and resin systems. Tow counts up to 12K are currently available in package sizes up to 10 pounds and with different sizing chemistries and levels, including unsized fibers. Whether your application involves prepregging, weaving, winding, pultrusion or molding, Thornel® PAN-based carbon fibers offer the best blend of performance, reliability and value available today.
