DECLAR

Cytec Engineered Materials' DECLAR thermoformable sheets have set the industry standard for thermoforming. DECLAR sheets have been engineered for use on standard thermoforming equipment with process conditions comparable to polycarbonates. DECLAR sheets are formed to met aircraft industry flammability requirements for cabin interiors, including the current FAA heat-release requirements. For this reason, DECLAR is commonly used in aircraft interior stowbin door sections, like that in the Boeing 737/757.
DECLAR sheet products offer these outstanding qualities:
- Exeeds FAA heat-release smoke generation and vertical burn requirements
- Pass FAR 25.853A and ATS 1000.001
- Dimensionally stable
- High impact strength leads to very damage resistant parts
- Oustanding UV resistance
- Meets industry toxicity requirements
- Form with existing tools used for polycarbonates (aluminum, metal-faced wood, wood)
- Wide range of colors, thicknesses, textures and dimensions
- Outstanding resistance to abrasion, stains, soils and solvents
- Excellent formability permits large and complex parts
- Deep draw parts easily produced
- Thermoformable with decorative film (i.e. PVF film)
- Easy to clean and maintain
- Recyclable
