Cytec Launches New UV Curable Bioligomers for Versatile, Eco-Friendly Printing
Products Based on Renewable Resources

West Paterson, NJ, July 23, 2008 – Cytec Industries has launched the new EBECRYLŽ
5000 Series Bioligomers to meet the printing industry’s growing needs for UV curable inks that are formulated with renewable resources, and also provide versatility and performance.

The innovative EBECRYLŽ 5000 Series Bioligomers are based on renewable content ranging from 10 percent to 62 percent, and can be used in formulating inks for flexo, litho, and screen printing, and for overprint varnishes.

The six UV curable resins in this new product line have good to excellent printability, pigment wetting, and color development.

“We continue developing innovative, UV/EB curable resins that help our customers grow and meet their evolving needs,” said Jo Grosemans, Global Marketing Manager-RADCURE™ Graphic Arts.

“In 2007, we introduced the new energy curable EBECRYLŽ LEO Resins for low extractable and low odor applications,” Grosemans said. “This year, we’ve developed the Bioligomers to help the ink makers and the printers have products that are renewable, sustainable and eco-friendly.”
